This year was my second time at New York Fashion Week (NYFW) and my first time attending as a newly minted swim designer myself. I was blown away by the artistry of each line, and the way you can tell how many people contribute to these absolutely insane shows.
Here are a few of my favorite moments from the week:
-
FASHION HISTORY WITH FENDI: It was incredible to help celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Fendi Baguette. The more I get into fashion, the more I start to understand the significance of fashion history, how certain silhouettes shaped entire trends and how Silvia Venturini Fendi, the original designer of the baguette, is being honored by the current artistic director, Kim Jones. The brand was also directed by Karl Lagerfeld at one point, and to see a brand change between such iconic and influential hands and still maintain its position as a fashion force is really inspiring as someone who is just starting out in the fashion business!
