It’s Fall again which means a few things: 1. the weather is getting colder and I’m ready to get cozy in my room and hibernate until Christmas (my favorite Holiday), and 2. It’s officially cuffing szn. Whether you’re boo’d up or not, it’s always nice to cuddle up and watch something with some candles lit (even if you’re just cuddling up to your pets like me).
Today I’m sharing the three shows I am watching on Netflix right now and why you should too! (Don’t worry, there won’t be any spoilers!)

SQUID GAME
If you’ve spent any time on the internet over the last week, you know that everyone is losing their minds over Squid Game. The Korean series dropped on Netflix a little over a week ago, and it had me absolutely HOOKED. So much so that I stayed up until 4 AM finishing the series when I was supposed to be waiting for my dad to finish it with me (sorry Dad, couldn’t help myself). I was surprised at how much I liked this series because I’m not usually into foreign T.V.—mostly because I’m not a huge fan of subtitles—but this one had me on the edge of my seat the entire time, plus I set it to be voice-dubbed in English (or you can listen to it in Korean if you prefer). I think one of this show’s biggest strengths is the casting, especially the character Kang Sae-byeok, played by Jung Ho-yeon. Some of the conversations dominating Squid Game commentary right now are talking about how gorgeous the Korean actress is, and they’re right. Vogue referred to her as “Korea’s Next Top Model,” and I think they’re definitely onto something. I don’t want to spoil anything, but all I’ll say is that this show is the PERFECT one to settle in and do a cozy marathon with. It will have you begging for more by the end and you’ll be just as obsessed as I am!!!

BLACK MIRROR
I have always loved Black Mirror. I think the reason I love it so much is partly because of it’s dystopian-style plot lines, but also because each episode is different and keeps me interested, which is definitely necessary since I (like many of you, I’m sure) have gotten so used to watching 15-second videos for hours rather than watching a one hour movie. Black Mirror keeps me on my toes and it’s always the sci-fi fix I need. It also puts a lot in perspective for me, and reminds me that even when things seem hard for me, there’s not a killer robot on the loose, so things aren’t that bad. One of my favorite episodes was the one that came out with Miley Cyrus last year, and it makes the perfect companion for a gloomy Fall day.
